EXCLUSIVE ALGORITHMS

Most precise algorithms thanks to ART-Fi IP technology enabling measurement of amplitude and phase of the field :

  • Accurate measurement of the SAR based on physics : no extrapolation, no approximation
  • Fast reconstruction of the 3D SAR distribution based on Plane Wave spectrum method
  • This method is with uniqueness of solution and is independent of the radiated pattern

TEST PLAN IMPLEMENTATION

Devise the test plan in the dedicated Meas. Sequence tab of SARLAB interface :

  • Define the test positions and technologies to be used
  • The user is guided during all the steps of the creation
  • Duplicate measurement configuration for a quick set-up of the test plan

3D VISUALIZATION

Visualize the measurement results and the corresponding SAR pattern radiated inside the phantom :

  • Choose from a selection of views or define new ones
  • Display the pattern at any distance from the phantom surface
  • Display the cube position for 1g and 10g SAR

AUTOMATED BASE STATION SIMULATOR CONTROL

SARLAB automatically handles the communication between the device under test and the base station simulator. Optimizations of the test plan are made based on the measurement order and involved technologies.

The following base stations are fully integrated:

  • Rohde & Schwarz CMW500
  • Keysight E5515C/8960
  • Anritsu MT8820C
  • Anritsu MT8821C
  • Other Base Station: on request

REPORT GENERATOR

Generate measurement reports of thousands of measurement in an instantin word or excel format :

  • The Word document includes all the detailed information about the measurement set-up and results including 3D views and is highly customizable to fit all purposes
  • The excel sheet includes less information and is designed to quickly and easily compare measurement results

DEVICE POSITIONING

SARborg robotic positioner is fully integrated inside SARLAB GUI. Simply create a measurement sequence, enable the use of the robot and let it run all the tests for you.

COMPUTER (OPTION)

A computer is delivered with the ART-MAN system. This computer includes SARLAB and all the required drivers to execute the measurements. The PC requirements are as follow :

  • Processor Intel core i7- Ivy Bridge series 3GHz
  • NVidia GeForce 8 graphical card
  • 8GB RAM
  • 1 Ethernet controller with at least 2 Ethernet ports
  • 4 Usb ports
  • 1 TB hard drive disk
  • Windows 10 professional Operating System
The PC is also delivered with a Screen of 1920x1080 pixels resolution, a mouse and a keyboard.

TECHNOLOGY ENABLED FEATURES

SIGNAL ANALYSIS

Visually monitorthe signal emitted by the DUT in the time or space domain :

  • Monitor the real Duty Cycle
  • Monitor the DUT power spectrum of the communication technology
  • Monitor frequency shifts in the signal emitted by the DUT

POWER EVOLUTION

Continuously monitor the power drift of the DUT radiation due to battery discharge during test, antenna switching, adaptive power settings, coupling effects and hand interactions. Correlate the drift with the evolution of the SAR results.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

The system has the ability to analyse the radiation characteristics of the DUT and is able to discriminate test cases where IEC 62209-1/ IEC 62209-2 compliant systems are prone to misestimating the measurement results due to higher uncertainty than stated in such case. For instance :  

  • Distance between the mobile phone and the phantom is lower than 5mm (Limb SAR)
  • Higher frequencies, where the field may be expected to decay faster
